It is Renault F1 to win the prize again. First time it was won in 2005 by Fernando Alonso, who later became two-time World Champion. The year 2005 was the year of his first Champion title.
The people who vote in the poll are not only Formula 1 fans, but mostly journalists, racing circuit owners and sports photographers from all over the world. Every year the poll kicks off on 22 March and closes the following year on the 31 January. In 2017 there were the total of 1859 votes cast.
N. Hülkenberg won 69 points in 2018 Formula 1 Championship and took the brilliant 7th place in the final standings, in spite of not scoring any points in 10 grand prix races.
I believe we will succeed in handing over the cups, made by Podebrady's CRYSTAL BOHEMIA, a.s., in person at some European GP.
