Courtesy of the Head of Communication Mr. Bradley Lord I had a chance to attend a press confernce for journalist and TV stations, the conference actually consisted of two parts.
Yes, it was the first F1 press conference for me and I took in intensively everything that happened. In advance I would like to say that it was fully under the professional control of Bradley Lord. The room was so silent you could hear a pin drop, Czech journalists might learn something from that. I have been commenting on Lewis Hamilton and his humbleness for some time. This time I got a chance to observe his body language up close, not only from the photographs of Jiri Krenek, or TV, but directly, live and also hear his answers to the journalists' questions. One of the anwers got my attention when Lewis was talking about very hard work, being lucky, team, skill and that, in fact, things can change any odd day. I don't want to give away what I have learnt from his body language, that's my know-how which I have been building up for many years and it is marked with the hard work Lewis was talking about.
He kept smiling, making eye contact with almost all of the journalists and was speaking calmly. Everybody in the room had to be striken with the way he showed how humble he was and whoever didn't feel it the way I did simply didn't belong into that room!
Being humble is his power. He walks with his head bent low, as if he is hiding, hiding his soul. He is a very strong and humble man. There is no reason for me to boast about anything, I am, among other things, an expert on communication and body language, I have been studying it since I was 14, now I am 58 and I am able to see through people quite well.
After the press conference he had a short meeting with Valtteri Bottas. The meeting was pleasant, open, modest and...humble.
Thinking about history, I recall the humbleness of Jackie Stewart and F. Cevert, Niki Lauda, then Michael Schumacher and Clay Regazzoni, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello (I know him in person)...Felipe Massa (I know him in person). The team consisting of Michael and Rubens, that was the power of being humble, which nobody saw, also the whole Scuderia Ferrari were humble - J. Todt, R. Brawn above all. Lewis and Valtteri - the strongest current team in F1.
Yes, today I perceive and I am persuaded that Lewis and Valtteri are the strongest current team in F1. Two or three levels below you can find Sebastian and Kimi of Ferrari. If they stick together also next year, their team will be comparable to that of Michael and Rubens.
If the team and the car work, Lewis is going to win his fifth Champion Title in Formula 1. I can't speak about the team, I haven't met anyone in person, except for B. Lord. Believe me, I'm not wrong!
In conclusion, let me say that Lewis and Bradley were tuned in harmony, harmony of humbleness. Maybe that's why there was the silence you could hear a pin drop.
