Mark Webber won the qualification on the circuit in Barcelona, his team mate Sebastian Vettel was right behind him. This year's Championship is going to be about the skill in using the Pirelli Pzero tires, which showed also in this race. Nick Heidfeld had some adrenalin moments when his car got on fire pretty mightily and his engineers couldn't repair such vast damage, which meant he couldn't take part in the qualification and had to start from the last place. In the end, in the race, he proved to be a great driver as he scored points on the nice eight position.
F. Alonso was leading after the start for about 20 laps and the spectators went crazy. M.Webber's start wasn't any good and he finished fourth.
Lap 44, S.Vettel reported that his KERS isn't running, although it started working again after a moment, so I don't know whether it was just some communication diversion for the competitors. Lap 51 Kovalainen retires, as he flew over the gravel and hit the rubber wall. On lap 61 F.Massa retires with a mechanical trouble, Scuderia Ferrari hasn't showed much this season so far.

PZero made the duel between the first Vettel and the second Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel showed his driving skill and finished the race with the tires worn literally raw. Everybody was waiting nervously whether his tires would keep or if he would lose his position. In the end he defended his place and Red Bull was untouchable again.
