Turkish GP - Red Bull dominant again

If it seemed that the dominance of Red Bull is over after China, then the technical circuit in Istanbul put everything in the old tracks. Vettel won the pole position without a problem with Webber in the first row next to him. The result was double again, even though it wasn't so easy after all.

The qualification didn't bring anything revolutionary. Only Kobayashi's engine died already on the first lap and he was last. Behind Red Bull, Rosberg surprised with his third place before Hamilton, followed by Alonso, Button and Massa before both Renaults and Sutil.

After the start Webber fell through as usually, Rosberg was circling a long time behind the escaping Vettel. Then Alonso from the third place jumped over Rosberg and got quite close to the leading Vettel. He, however, kept his own pace, getting faster only when it was necessary to be way ahead of the rest of the world. Webber was making his way forward and after the third pit stop he got behind his team mate. On the contrary, Rosberg was losing positions as the time went, even though he repeated his fifth place from China. McLarens didn't do well because they didn't have time to test new elements and they mainly missed long straights. Anyway, the fourth Hamilton and sixth Button didn't lose much. Renault is already well established among the top teams, the last remaining points going to Buemi and Kobayashi.

Both Schumacher and Massa were failures as they finished far behind their more successful team mates with the same cars.

After the four pretty much non-European races the distribution of powers seems to be stable, five teams on the top, behind them the strong and equal middle and limping Virgin with Marusia and HRT. It might change in Spain, where everybody is advertising to bring major upgrades.
