Just like every year the weather at Nurburgring was unstable, the circuit was a little wet. Mark Webber took the pole position again, L.Hamilton immediately behind him, followed by S.Vettel. M.Webber didn't do well on the start again and as soon as the first corner Hamilton got in front of him, just like Alonso a little later, Vettel loosing another place. The race wasn't too dramatic. Unfortunately N.Heidfeld demolished his car and there was some overspinnig couple of times, in case of Vettel, Alonso and even Schumacher. J.Button's retiring from the race was an interesting moment, again because of the machine failure.
Hamilton was running as if for his life throughout the whole race, the pit stop strategy at McLaren was also good and the car didn't fail either. Massa of Ferrari in the fourth position, just like Vettel on the fifth had to take the last pit stop on the last lap. The engineers of Red Bull Racing Team were faster and so S.Vettel got ahead of Massa thanks to the fast work of his engineers. The Ferrari's pit stop was really long. The Ferrari's shape is getting distinctly better, McLaren's on the contrary. Even though they won the race J.Button's problems are unpardonable.

S.Vettel finished the fourth in his home GP this time, which was a disappointment to him. An interesting moment was when F.Alonso ran out of fuel after the race and Mark Webber had to take him to the podium ceremony sitting on the side of his car.
Race wasn't finished by: J.Button, R.Barrichello, N.Heidfeld a V.Liuzzi.
GP : 1.L.Hamilton, 2.F.Alonso, 3. M.Webber
